We make dating safer for women
Our research found that women's top concern when it comes to online dating is being assaulted, even much worse in real life.
Julie Valentine, a researcher, sexual-assault nurse examiner, and assistant dean of Brigham Young University's Faculty of Nursing, studied 1,968 "acquaintance" sexual assaults between 2017 and 2020. She and her colleagues came to the conclusion that 14% of these sexual assaults were the outcome of the initial in-person encounter on a dating app.
As your trusted matchmaking agency in Malaysia, we take precautions to reduce online dating risks for ladies.
We ask women to select dating spots
When there's a match, our female members will be invited to shortlist three preferred venues for their first dates. It could either be a café close to her best friend's home or a restaurant she usually visits. The matching gentlemen will be notified of the three options and will select one to accommodate the ladies' wishes.
This is just one of the numerous ways we protect ladies when they meet a match for the first time.
We blacklist members
We developed a systematic violence prevention initiatives for our female members regarding all forms of violence against women.
While not all men are perpetrators of violence, our male members fully understand the reason why we play an essential role in combating violence against women when it comes to offline dating.
We will not hesitate to blacklist any member if necessary, and fully cooperate with relevant authorities when the circumstance arises.
We don't share your contact details
Your phone number is yet another way for people to contact you. We do not disclose your contact information with anyone for your safety.
It's rather common for people to migrate from dating applications like Tinder to WhatsApp or other messaging tools; at Romance Butler, we never divulge your contact information even after your first date. When you decide to go on a date, we leave that up to you during the date.
We don't show your pictures
On the internet, you can find many facial recognition search methods. As a result, images that you show on dating apps and social media platforms could lead to more information about you.
Try uploading your profile photo using Google Image search function. Google knows more about you than you realize.
